Flatbed Semi Trailer
The 4 axle heavy duty side wall semi trailer is designed for applications where payload, cargo concentration or legal axle distribution requires more capacity than a standard three-axle body. The extra axle can spread the load across a longer group, subject to road regulations.
The side-wall body supports bagged and palletized cargo while the heavy-duty chassis can be reinforced for steel products, cement bags and dense construction materials. Panel height and section layout are adjusted to balance cargo volume, body weight and loading convenience.
AOHA reviews the customer’s legal gross weight, tractor specification and route conditions before recommending a four-axle layout. In some markets, a steering axle may improve turning performance and reduce tire scrub.
Typical Applications
━━━━
Key Advantages
━━━━
| Enhanced Load Distribution
Four axles can distribute weight more effectively for approved heavy-duty operations. |
Reinforced Chassis
Main beams, cross-members and suspension brackets can be engineered for repeated high loads. |
| Strong Side Structure
Panel frames and locking points are designed around the expected cargo pressure. |
Configurable Maneuverability
Steering or lift-axle solutions can be considered for route and tire-wear requirements. |
| Forklift-Ready Deck Options
Reinforced floor zones support frequent side loading. |
Cargo-Specific Height
Wall height is selected for cargo density rather than using an unnecessarily heavy body. |

Quality Control and Delivery
━━━━
Heavy-duty side wall trailers require inspection of the main frame, side-wall supports, locks, axle alignment and brake balance. The customer should supply the planned loading diagram so that local reinforcement is positioned correctly.
