AOHA supplied a batch of 3 axle flatbed semi trailers to a Kenyan logistics company for transporting steel, containers, building materials and general cargo.
Project Background
A logistics company in Kenya needed reliable flatbed semi trailers for transporting steel structures, construction materials, containers and other heavy cargo between ports, warehouses and project sites.
The customer’s previous trailers experienced problems such as insufficient frame strength, unstable braking performance and rapid tire wear when operating on rough roads. The new trailers therefore needed to provide high load capacity, strong structural durability and easy maintenance.
Customer Requirements
The customer requested a flatbed semi trailer suitable for both container transport and general cargo transportation.
The main requirements included:
- 3 axle structure
- Capacity suitable for heavy construction materials
- Container locks for 20 ft and 40 ft containers
- Reinforced main beam
- Reliable suspension and braking system
- Easy access to spare parts
- Surface treatment suitable for humid and dusty conditions
AOHA Solution
Based on the customer’s operating routes and cargo type, AOHA recommended a reinforced 3 axle flatbed semi trailer.
The main beam was manufactured from high-strength steel and reinforced at key load-bearing positions. The platform was equipped with container twist locks, allowing the trailer to carry standard containers as well as steel coils, machinery, pipes and packaged cargo.
The suspension, axle and braking systems were selected according to the local road conditions and expected loading frequency.
Main Configuration
- Product: 3 Axle Flatbed Semi Trailer
- Axles: 3 axles
- Suspension: Mechanical suspension
- Platform: Reinforced flat platform
- Container locks: Suitable for 20 ft and 40 ft containers
- Landing gear: Heavy-duty landing gear
- Brake system: Dual-line pneumatic braking system
- Surface treatment: Shot blasting and anti-corrosion coating
Production and Delivery
Before production, AOHA confirmed the dimensions, axle specification, tire configuration and container lock positions with the customer.
During manufacturing, the welding quality, frame dimensions, brake system and electrical system were inspected. The trailers were then loaded and shipped to the customer’s designated port.
Project Result
After delivery, the trailers were used for container transportation and construction material distribution. The reinforced structure improved stability under heavy loads, while the standard component configuration made maintenance easier for the customer’s local service team.
